VICTORIA RIGBY
Acting
Victoria's 'electrifying' one-woman show, Girl From Nowhere, runs at the Pleasance Courtyard, Edinburgh, 5-31 August at 12:45pm. Directed by Whitney Mosery (King Charles III and American Psycho Associate director, Almeida), the play follows a disgraced hell-raising rock singer in 60s Texas. Girl From Nowhere was developed at Theatre503, Battersea, in May 2014. Reviews called her performance 'breathtaking', 'extraordinary', 'astonishing' and 'brave', with Victoria's script called 'powerful... a must-see one-act'.
Victoria appeared in a 'finely judged' performance as Beryl in 'Flowers of the Forest' at the Jermyn Street Theatre in September and October 2014.
She plays the lead role, Grace Crowder, in Tell Them of Us, a World War 1 feature film by WAGScreen.
Whilst at Cambridge, Victoria performed extensively at the ADC and with the Cambridge University Musical Theatre Society. She toured Japan with the Pembroke Players' Shakespeare Tour, and sang soprano with the Pembroke College Chapel Choir. For her final year, she sat on the university Musical Theatre Society committee, as well as the committee of the Fletcher Players, who administer the Corpus Playroom, of which Stephen Fry is patron.
